Cross Flow Cooling Tower

The tower design incorporates a FRP distribution basin with number of flower type target nozzles in it and is located at the tower top. The water, by gravity, is dispersed over the fill media uniformly and water is allowed to pass vertically down along the honey comb fills. The fan coupled directly to the motor is placed horizontally to draw air across the fill media. A small portion of water is evaporated which removes the heat from the remaining water. In warm moist air is drawn to the horizontally placed fan motor and is discharged through the fan deck, to the atmosphere. The resultant cold water is collected at the cooling tower collection sump from where it is re-circulated to the application.

The Treated Wooden Splash bars, the fill media, are supported on FRP Grids to ensure positive and permanent positioning. The wooden splash bars are of imported pine woods, chemically treated to arrest fungal or algae formations. The design incorporates accommodation of waters with very high TDS factors The hot water from the source when circulated to the collection basin with flower pot nozzles, are sprayed over the fill area. Simultaneously, air is induced through the fill media thus taking away the latent heat from the water passing through the fill media.

Water Cooling Tower

Cooling towers work by using evaporation cooling. Water is pumped to the top of the cooling tower where the water flows down some flow fills to the cooling tower basin. As the water is flowing down the pvc fills air is pulled through the fills and over the water where it releases heat through evaporation. After the water has released the heat it is then pumped back through piping to a chiller where it absorbs more heat and then returns to the cooling tower. Because of evaporation the cooling tower system is equipped with a float that controls the level of water in the basin to prevent the water from evaporating away and giving the system a shot of fresh water called make-up water. When the float drops below a predetermined level a valve is opened introducing make-up water into the cooling tower system. The make-up water is generally supplied from the city water supply or even a well. High efficiency cooling towers have variable frequency drives that can be controlled by a reset schedule based on outside ambient air temperature. This feature saves energy by allowing the fan to run at lower speeds based on lower temperatures outside. HVAC Cooling towers also require water treatment chemicals and regular maintenance for cleaning, fan and motor maintenance. Some cooling towers use filters to filter unwanted particles from the water.

Evaporative Cooling Towers

The evaporate cooling towers essentially combines a cooling tower and a condenser coil in single equipment. It eliminates the sensible heat transfer step of the condenser coil water which is required in the cooling towercondenser system. This permits a condensing temperature substantially closer to design wet-bulb temperature, and consequently, minimum heat process energy input.The closed circuit cooling tower was being tested at our factory with real heat load, with required water flow and was exported to Iraq after confirming the performance.The fan system sucks air through the falling water and over the coil surface. A small quantity of the water is evaporated, removing heat from the primary circuit and cooling it inside the coil.
