Two kinds of food-grade and pharmaceutical gelatin are produced by gp china: from pigskins: acid extraction for type a gelatin. from cattle hides: alkaline extraction for type b gelatin the raw materials (pigskins - cattle hides) come from animals destined for human consumption following checks carried out by inspectors authorisedunder current veterinary laws. the quality of our gelatine starts out with the selection and checking of the raw materials. the constant monitoring and precise controlling of the various stages in its production by our specialised staffensures product traceability and maximises quality standards. after an acid or alkaline pre-treatment, the raw materials are transferred into cooking vats for the extraction in purified hot water. the gelatine solutions undergo physical (filtration) and chemical (demineralisation) purifying, and are concentrated by ultrafiltration and then vacuum evaporation.
