Hongchao stainless steel, inc. Has been specilizing the stainless steel industry since 2000. 317l (uns s31703) is a molybdenum-containing austenitic stainless steel that is intended to provide improved corrosion resistance in highly corrosive environments, particularly those containing chlorides or other halides. 317 and 317l containing 3 4% molybdenum are preferred to types 316 or 316l which contain 2 3% molybdenum in applications requiring enhanced pitting and general corrosion resistance because of the difference on amount of molybdenum. 317l (uns s31703) is non-magnetic in the annealed condition but may become slightly magnetic as a result of welding.
