duplex stainless steel is a type of steel with the characteristics of corrosion resistance, high strength, easy to process and so on. The physical property of duplex steel is between the austenitic stainless steel and ferritic stainless steel; therefore, it combination the excellent toughness and weldability of the former and the higher strength and resistance to chloride stress corrosion of the latter. The ability to resist the chloride pitting and crevice corrosion is related to the contents of chromium (cr), molybdenum (mo) and nitrogen (n) of it. Duplex stainless steel performs much better than the ordinary austenitic stainless steel (such as 18-8 304 and 18-12-2 316 ) in resisting pitting, crevice corrosion, stress corrosion and corrosion fatigue especially under the harsh medium environment (such as sea water). The yield strength of duplex stainless steel can reach 400-550mpa which is the double of ordinary stainless steel. Duplex stainless steel has good weldability and low hot cracking tendency. Usually, no preheating needed before soldering, and no heat treatment after soldering. It also can be wielded with other kind of stainless steel. Compare to the austenitic stainless steel, duplex stainless steel has large thermal conductivity and small coefficient of linear expansion.

Commercial pure nickel, it has the outstanding mechanical property and corrosion resistance. It also has the high heat conductivity and electroconductibility and low gas content and vapor pressure. It excellently resist to corrosion of hot concentrated alkaline solution, and it also resists to the corrosion of alkaline solution and neutral solution medium of carbonate, oxide, nitrate, acetate, etc. It resists to corrosion of aliphatic acid. The resistance to oxidation of Nickel is very good; in the air, the surface of Nickel will generate a layer of NiO film, and it will stop the further oxidation of it. Nickel strongly resists to the caustic alkali; in the 50% boiling caustic soda solution, the corrosion rate of the Nickel wont exceed 25 micron. Its strength and plasticity are pretty good, it is able to bear the press working. It mainly apply to the alkali making industry, chlor-alkali chemical industry, production of organic chloride, food processing industry, high temperature halogen and salt corrosion environment, water treatment etc.
