Drilling solids control is a technique used in drilling rig to separate the solids in the drilling fluids that are crushed by the drill bits and carried out of the well surface. Drilling solid control system is consist of drilling shale shaker, vacuum degasser, desander, desilter, decanter centrifuge.drilling solids control system is extensively used in oil & gas drilling and workover, coalbed methane drilling, shale gas drilling, water well, geothermal well drilling, trenchless horizontal directional crossing projects, mine gravel staged treatment, tailings treatment, rive dredging works, municipal environment-friendly sewage treatment, industrial wastewater treatment, fruit juice purification, waste oil recovery and purification treatment, etc. drilling solids control equipment include shale shaker, desander, desilter, mud cleaner, vacuum degasser and drilling centrifuge.shale shaker is used to separate the big solids with diameter above 75m, and 4574m for desander, and 1544m for desilter, decanter centrifuge is used in separating suspension of solid phase with particle diameter 2 m for drilling mud and fluids handling. In an addition to shakers and hydrocyclones, the use of a high-speed centrifuge has significantly contributed to the ability of a drilling operation to reduce the amount of mud to be built and dieselbarite additions to maintain optimum low and high gravity solids proportions. Sometimes desander & desilter are combined as high efficient mud cleaner. When air enters into the drilling fluids, vacuum degasser is used to separate the air. If no air in the mud, the degasser would work as a big agitator. All these drilling solids control equipments are mounted on the top of the mud tank. After separating the solids, the clean mud would be pumped into the borehole again.
