This synthetic mica, as it is perfectly pure, without foreign mineral contamination offers a very high dielectric performance and a top temperature resistance up to 1300. From the mica flakes is obtained a mica paper that combined to a glassfiber net with silicon binder is used for fire resistance cable wrapping. This tape is lighter than the phlogopite similar tape, it is more compact and allows a very high speed of the wrapping machine. The fluorine release of the products is within the european regulation and, in fact, this synthetic mica is also used in a micronized form in cosmetic industry.
