Light Burning Magnesium Ball use Magnesia Oxide as the main raw material, added with water mixed with bonder, and made by high pressure into ball to forming. Light burning magnesium ball is mainly used as the composite modifier to protect the converter. For splashing converter the slags are to be with appropriate viscosity and refractoriness, suitable slag composition is the key to protect the converter. The generic slags cant be splashed directly, it needs to be adjusted by adding some magnesia oxide ball, while replacing the use of dolomite, reduce slag quantity, increase the content of magnesia oxide in slag. As magnesite oxide melts at 2800 which is high, and increase the magnesia oxide content in slag, the slag viscosity is enhanced, thus the refractoriness improved, so slag is getting easily bonded with the lining, and a protective layer of slag formed on the furnace lining, thus extend the lining life, reduces consumption.
