The ANDON system is a crucial component of production lines, enabling seamless activation of alerts – automatic or manual – in response to faults. Utilizing LED displays, it visually depicts the assembly line, signaling problem workstations through lights, sounds, and emails, ensuring rapid response from the designated team. By swiftly detecting anomalies and defects, the ANDON system minimizes downtime, encourages line-wise alerts, extends working hours, and fosters paperless response management, all culminating in elevated operational efficiency.
ANDON system is used to identify the issues, notify it to authoritative person and resolve the issue. The centre piece is a signboard incorporating signal lights to indicate which workstation has the problem. ANDON system can be both manual and an automatic. In manual, one person need to pull lever or press button manually and then it will get activated. And in automatic, there is a sensor system which activates automatically if problem arises through IoT.
