The foundation of was laid six decades ago. The company was manufacturing Fine Quality Vermicelli (Sev) made from premium quality wheat grown in the fertile plantations of Northern India, and it found a growing market throughout the country.
While supplying Sev, they found that through the generations the Indian Kitchen had begun adapting to International Cuisines. Diet – conscious consumers preferred Desserts made of milk, instead of Traditional ghee and mava. The company saw potential in this emerging market, and expanded their product lines to include Delicious Instant Dessert Mixes - Caramel Pudding, Vegetarian Jelly, Milk Jelly, Ice Cream Mix, Falooda Mix and Fine Quality products such as – Jellos (Gelatin), Drinking Chocolate, Cocoa Powder and Corn Flour. Custard Powder and Jelly which were sold only during festive season were now in demand throughout the year.
