Dafuzo 10 MG Tablet belongs to the calcium channel blocker group of medicines which is used to prevent migraine attacks. It is also used to prevent and treat vertigo and other conditions of the inner ear and the brain.

Uses :  Dafuzo 10 MG Tablet is used for preventive treatment of migraine and Prevention of vertigo.

How To Use : Take this medication by mouth exactly as prescribed, usually once a day in the evening. It may take 6 to 8 weeks of continued treatment before the maximum effect of this medication is noted.

How Dafuzo 10 Tablet worksMigraine headaches are thought to result from the dilatation of blood vessels in the head. Dafuzo 10mg Tablet works by preventing loss of tone and dilation of blood vessels, thus preventing the migraine headache.

Expert advice for Dafuzo 10 Tablet

  • Dafuzo 10mg Tablet should be taken at night-time before going to bed.
  • You may have to wait for 8 to 12 weeks to get the full effect.
  • Caution is advised in elderly patients, as it may cause depressive and extrapyramidal symptoms.
  • Do not take alcohol or sleep inducing medicine along with Dafuzo 10mg Tablet.
  • Dafuzo 10mg Tablet tablet contains lactose monohydrate. You should not take it if you have galactose intolerance, the Lapp lactase deficiency or glucose-galactose malabsorption.


Side Effects : Drowsiness, weight gain, nausea, heartburn, dry mouth or anxiety may occur as your body adjusts to the medication. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your doctor. Notify your doctor if you develop: a skin rash, depression, muscle aches, tremor, difficulty moving, abnormal or uncontrolled movements (especially of the face or mouth). If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

Precautions : Tell your doctor if you have: liver disease, movement disorders, Parkinson's disease, a history of depression, any allergies. Use caution operating machinery or engaging in activities requiring alertness. Avoid the use of alcohol while taking this medication since excessive drowsiness can occur. This medication should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy or while breast-feeding. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor.

Precautions

  • Montelukast + Levocetirizine is contraindicated in patients with an allergy to either or both drugs, hepatic impairment, NSAID allergy, Churg-Strauss syndrome.
  • Montelukast + Levocetirizine is contraindicated in children less than six months of age.
  • Montelukast + Levocetirizine can cause dizziness. Do not drive vehicles or operate heavy machineries that need alertness.

Dosage

  • For treatment of allergic rhinitis and chronic asthma (Adults):
  • Consider administration of 10 mg once a day in the evening.
  • For Prophylaxis of exercise-induced asthma (Adults):
  • Consider administration of 10 mg of Montelukast + Levocetirizine, at least two hours before exercise.
