Polyfill is a synthetic material made from crimped fibers, is an excellent choice for filling or stuffing small enclosures or transmission line cabinets. Long fiber wool has been a favourite among serious speaker builders but Polyfill is less expensive than long fiber wool and does not have the problem of harboring moths. Polyfill also outperforms Dacron, Foam, and Fiberglass. Polyfill sheet is designed for damping the walls of an enclosure to absorb standing waves and control resonances. By lining the internal walls of a speaker cabinet will help to tighten up muddy bass response and reduce ringing to provide a cleaner midrange response. There are no health hazards with Polyfill and no mask or gloves are needed when using this product.
