Volumetric pipettes are glass tubes used tomeasure small liquid volumes very accurately. However, each pipette is designed to only measureone volume. Each volumetric pipette is unique. Some are straight tubes, while others have a bulb-shaped reservoir in the middle. The etched line on the pipette marks the level at which the pipette will contain the designated volume. Volumetric pipettes come in many different sizes, depending on the amount of liquid that needs to be measured / transferred.
