Description: Heavy melting scrap, is a designation for recyclable steel and wrought iron. It is broken up into two major categories: HMS I and HMS II. The difference between the two is HMS I does not contain galvanized and blackened steel, whereas HMS II - HMS stands for heavy melting scrap, and I & II are the two grades within that definition. Both HMS I & II comprise obsolete scrap only
