The EPA is focused on protecting the nations water resources, to help solveenvironmental problems and to understand how pollutants and contaminants in the watersupply can affect the health of the public. They recognize the need for ongoingenvironmental monitoring, and in an effort to expedite the introduction of newenvironmental technologies into the marketplace, the Environmental TechnologyVerification (ETV) program was established. The ETV Program is in place to verify theperformance of monitoring technologies to assess environmental quality. Continuousmulti-parameter water quality monitors like the TitraSip SA are considered to be a highpriority technology.
