Each Finolex wire is manufactured using 99.97% pure, electrolytic grade, bright annealed bare copper with more than 100% conductivity for conductor, supplied by the Finolex unit at Ponda, Goa. The wire is insulated with a Flame Retardant (FR) PVC compound with a high oxygen and temperature index, specially formulated and manufactured in-house. A special grade PVC Resin manufactured by Group Company Finolex Industries Ltd., is used in formulating this compound. These ISI marked wires meet the requirements of IS 694 : 1990 with latest amendments with improved fire performance proper ties for category C1. They are approved by FIA /TAC. The need of the day is new circuitry and additional points to accommodate modern gadgets. Add to this, large scale projects undertaken nowadays. HIGH INSULATION RESISTANCE In all cables, there is generally leakage of current from the live conductor through the insulation. In case of inferior quality of insulation the current leakage increases. This is unsafe and can cause damage to installations as well as become a threat to human life. International safety standards species that current leakage limit in hand held equipment is considered to be safe if the value is not more than 0.75 mA.

Conductor -Many thin strands of Electrolytic Copper are fine - drawn simultaneously for uniformity of Resistance, Dimension, and Flexibility. The drawn strands are twisted in high precision machines which imparts circularity to the conductor.
Insulation -SpeciaIIy formulated Lead free + Flame retardant PVC insulation is used. The FR [Flame Retardant] property retards the propagation of flame without compromising safety.

Approvals -IS 694 marked, C1 category, FIA/TAC approved.
Marking -The cables are printed with generic marking 'SUPEREX FR'.

Flamex-FRLSH (IS 694):
Applications -Suitable for use in conduit and forfixed protected installation particularly suitable for wiring in fire and explosion prone areas, chemical factories, densely wired areas, public buildings, schools, hospitals, commercial complexes, theatres, etc.
Conductor -Many thin strands of Electrolytic Copper are fine-drawn simultaneously for uniformity of Resistance, Dimension, and Flexibility. The drawn strands are twisted in high precision machines which imparts circularity to the conductor.
Insulation -Specially formulated grade of Lead Free + Flame Retardant Low Smoke Low Halogen compound to restrict the spread of flames in fire situation. The smoke emitted by the burning cable is considerably low compared to traditional cables. This ensures improved visibility for evacuation of trapped victims and facilitates fire fighting operation.
Insulation Conformity -IS 5831 Type A FR-LSH.
Approvals -IS 694 marked, C2 category, FIA/TAC approved.
Marking -The cables are printed with generic marking 'FLAMEX FRLSH'.

Unilay-FR (IS 694):
Applications -Suitable for use in conduit and for fixed, protected installation. Ideal for high density wiring.
Conductor -Thin strands of Electrolytic Copper are multidrawn simultaneously for uniformity of Resistance, Dimension and Flexibility. The drawn strands are uni-laid in high precision machines and compacted. A perfectly circular conductor is thus formed. This enables reduction in overall diameter for space saving in high density wiring. The strands do not get cut when stripping the insulation. The conductor offers perfect contact at pins, terminals and sockets. This eliminates spot heating and sparking.

Conductor -Thin strands of Electrolytic Copper are multi-drawn for uniformity of Resistance, Dimension and Flexibility. The drawn strands are unilaid in high precision machines and compacted. Thus forming a perfectly circular conductor which enables reduction in overall diameter for space saving in high density wiring. The strands do not get cut when stripping the insulation. The conductor offers perfect contact at pins, terminals and sockets. Thus, eliminating spot heating and sparking.
Insulation -Specially formulated grade of Lead Free + Halogen Free Flame Retardant [HFFR] compound is used. The insulation does not burn readily. It does not melt and drip, smoke is negligible. transparent. nontoxic- The victims trapped in fire do not suffocate and this facilitatesfire fighting operations. Unlike PVC, the smoke emmited is non-corrosive.
