  • 1) Instrument individual burden- AMax va = 0.75 (Calcuated burden on analog and Digital meter of all make)
  • 2) Wire burden wich is connected to instrument - B Va burden is (A•B)Safety multiplication factor is - 1.2 or 1.5 Times Hence total va burden is = (A+B) x 1.2For Example :- Wire size is 1.5sq. mm, For Copper Cable    lenpht is 5 meter= 0.75 x (5/1.5)= 2.5 va x 1.2VA=  KxL/S = 3 VaWhere K= 0.5 = 5 Sec, There for Required CT= 3VAL= Length of Wire
