Proximity Sensors

Sensors are the most basic, commonly used components in automation. EEC provides a wide variety of sensors including Proximity Sensors, photoelectric sensors, fiber optic sensors, and pressure sensors, for maximum user efficiency.
Proximity sensors are the most common and affordable solution for no-touch object detection. The most commonly used proximity sensors are the inductive type which generate an electromagnetic field to sense metal objects passing close to the face. This is usually the easiest sensing technology to apply in applications where the metal target is within an inch or two from the sensor face. Proximity Sensors are available in models using high-frequency oscillation to detect ferrous and non-ferrous metal objects and in capacitive models to detect non-metal objects. Models are available with environment resistance, heat resistance, resistance to chemicals, and resistance to water.

Types of Proximity Sensors

Cylindrical : These Proximity Sensors use high-frequency oscillation. They resist heat, chemicals, and water better than Rectangular Sensors. They are available in both shielded and unshielded models.

Rectangular : These Proximity Sensors use high-frequency oscillation. There are available in a wide range of sizes to enable selection to match the installation location.

Separate Amplifier : With these Proximity Sensors (high-frequency oscillation), the Amplifier and Sensor Head are separated to enable downsizing and facilitate adjustment.

Capacitive : Capacitive Proximity Sensors can be used to detect non-metal objects, such as liquids and plastics.

Others : Proximity Sensors are also available for special applications in long-distance models, and slim models are available for use combined with Proximity Sensors.
