This section frequently monitors the wrist strap in order to find out loss of continuity between monitor and operator. Conditions like improper contact with the skin and broken coil cords are detected quickly to alert the operator prior to get damaged of serious and expensive ESD. As there is no resistive back way from the wrist strap, it utilizes the 'Capacitive Alternative Current principle' to search in case the operator is suitably grounded. When plugged in, the Wrist Strap part is automatically activated. Continuous monitoring through Continuous Workstation Monitor decreases the requirement for periodic checks & audits and also guarantees higher security
WRIST STRAP: two-wrist strap sections continuously monitor the wrist strap to detect loss of continuity between operators and monitor. Conditions such as broken coils cords and improper contact with the skin are detected instantly to alert the operator before serious and expensive ESD damage can occur. As there is no resistance return path from the wrist strap, it uses the âcapacitive AC pulse principleâ to check if the operators are adequately connected to the instrument. The wrist strap sections are automatically activated when wrist straps are plugged in. continuous monitoring reduces the need for periodic checks and also ensures greater security.
