pvc tube settlers for solid liquid separation in water and wastewater treatment plants is called tube settler media. It is a very high efficiency solid-liquid separator. This is due to the fact that its shape is hexagonal-chevron type that has got highest efficiency of separation among all other shapes available i.e. Square, rectangular or hexagonal. Its area of application includes primary and secondary settling in water as well as wastewater treatment plants with any type of secondary treatment. It is also being very successfully used along with anaerobic digesters, to control the outflow of sludge and enhance gas production.traditional sedimentation tanks or clarifiers are large structures, occupying much valuable space, are perceived as high investment cost items.tube settler media helps to reduce the amount of suspended solids in carrier fluids ; thus improving effluent quality ; which in turn improves the efficiency of existing plants.

bag sludge dewatering unit is used in etp/stp for dewatering of sludge.
the sludge is fed to the flocculator installed on the dewatering equipment at same time liquid poly also mixed in the flocculator. As a result well flocculated sludge is fed to bag approximate 2 to 3 hrs and then keep the bag ideal for another 4 to 5 hrs for further dripping of water from bags. The time cycle is depend upon the quality and characteristic of sludge. Filtrate collected in the bottom tank having nozzle for draining of system. This filtrate can lead up to equalization tank or as per design of plant. After completion of 7 hr operation bag are removed by special trolley and bag are sealed by tie-rod and kept in a open area for further drying. As a result we can get the dry solid from 60 to 95 % in few days number of days depend upon weather conditions. Eg. In summer up to 90 % dry solid can get in 4 to 5 days.
