  • Application Clinical, Hospital, Laboratory
  • Color Blue
  • Pattern Plain
  • Feature Best Quality, Disposable, Water Proof

Shoes Covers are designed to cover the shoes for the protection of patients, medical professionals, and the shoes itself. The shoes covers are especially important for the operating room, in which sterile conditions are key for the protection against contaminants.

The shoes covers however can also be used in many other industries including factory and industrial settings where sterile conditions and/or safe and clean products are needed. The disposable shoe covers are also used with the food industry, especially those in hospitals and care homes.

Medical boot covers are similar to the shoes covers, but they provide coverage for the whole boot, up to the shin.

The benefits of shoes covers to patients are that they protect from any contaminants that could be on the shoes or sole, including all outside contaminants. In certain situations, such as after a c-section or when in ICU, even the visitors are also required to wear shoes covers in order to see their loved ones, to protect them from outside contaminants.

The benefits of disposable shoe covers to the medical professionals are that they firstly protect their shoes from any spillages and accidents that could occur, and also as they are disposable, the shoes covers ensure that no biohazardous materials, bodily fluids, blood, and/or debris are taken from the operating room out into the surrounding environment.

Hospital Gownsare protective barriers, which provide full body protection to both the patient and medical professionals. Hospital gowns are an essential component required within the medical field, especially in surgery (usually referred to as a surgical gown), to help prevent contamination, and be a barrier against infections and viruses.

Hospital gowns are especially good as they are both liquid repellent and liquid tight. Such gowns can also be found in other industries such as laboratories, and the food industry, where protection from contaminants is required.

For medical professionals, hospital gowns provide general protection and protection against bodily fluids, any other liquids, and chemicals used within the surgery.

Similarly, the hospital gowns protect patients from any bacteria, and contaminants from the medical professionals within an operating room. The hospital gowns are also designed for staff to easily access the necessary parts of a patient’s body.

Both sterile and non-sterile hospital gowns are available, which come in sleeveless, short sleeves, and long sleeves, to accommodate for both surgery, and outside surgery needs. The hospital gowns are also available in reinforced weight, which adds extra protection in the form of a double layer around the chest and arms. As well as this, hospital gowns are breathable garments, which are flexible, yet strong, and are also disposable making them environmentally friendly. StaySafe™ surgical gowns also come in a range of sizes, colors, and elastic and knitted cuffs to suit all preferences and requirements of our distributors and final users.

The primary materials hospital gowns are made from are polypropylene (PP), spunbond+meltblown+spunbond (SMS) and reinforced material (PE). Each material has different benefits specific to different uses.

PP is especially useful in repelling water, as well as being chemically resistant.

PE Reinforced material has advantages of both materials, making them appropriate for procedures where multiple facets of protection are required that is not offered by a single type of gown. Polypropylene and spunbond+meltblown+spunbond can be reinforced. They provide additional strength. Usually, the enhanced protection capabilities of PE reinforced gowns are not required for the majority of surgery, so it is ultimately up to personal preferences and requirements of the task.

Hospital gown selection should be made based on the specific aspects of the procedure. This includes the anticipated contaminants that one will be exposed to and the area of the body that is being operated on.

Surgical Drapes provide a protective barrier around the surgical area of the body, only excluding the head. The surgical drapes are usually clipped to a pair of poles near the head of the bed to form an ether screen, which separates the space for surgery conductors from the surgical site. Creating such a sterile barrier to create and maintain a sterile field is referred to as draping. A sterile environment is extremely important against contaminants during and after surgery.

The sterile surgical drapes establish a perimeter which forms a “sterile field”. This sterile environment is crucial when conducting surgery and once the surgery is finished to protect against the threat of pathogens or other contaminants which can cause infection or more dire illnesses.

Surgical drapes are available in several sizes and opening shapes for various surgery sites. Various materials and options are also available, including PP+PE or SMS material, to meet the surgical requirements of the surgeon. These materials are Non-Woven fabrics made from long fibers, bonded together by chemical, mechanical, heat or solvent treatments. Surgical drapes have the options of having a squared opening, ellipse opening or no opening, including tape or not including tape depending on the perimeters of the operation.

The PP+PE drapes are significantly cheaper than their SMS counterparts. They are lightweight and relatively durable; however, they have a low resistance to liquids. When taking into account the properties of PP+PE, they are more suited for lower-risk environments.

SMS drapes are breathable and comfortable. Unlike PP+PE drapes, SMS drapes are considerably more resistant to liquids and have a much higher resistance to punctures. They are also equipped with 3 layers, bolstering strength and protection. One of the layers is bacterial and acts as a repellent. They are more expensive than their alternative, however because of their enhanced properties; they are safer and suited for higher environments.

Surgeon Cap

  • Size Standard
  • Material Non Woven
  • Color Blue
  • Pattern Plain
  • Feature Comfortable, Disposable
  • Technics Machine Made

Surgeon’s Caps are headwear used in surgery. A back tie medical cap has an easy tie that needs to be tied at the back of the head, whereas an elastic tie medical cap can simply be put on the head, much like a bouffant or mob cap.

Medical caps are composed of two main materials, polypropylene and spun lace. Polypropylene is the most prolific material, and the majority of caps are made from this material. The advantages of polypropylene are that it is useful in repelling water as well as being chemically resistant. It is also lightweight, comfortable and elastic, durable and has insulating properties. Spunlace is the material of choice for the XtraSafe Ultra Surgeon model, and offers the highest level of protection and breathability among all caps. It is also the most expensive.

KN95 Face Mask

  • Size Standard
  • Material Non Woven
  • Application Clinical, Hospital, Laboratory
  • Color Blue, Light Green
  • Rope material Cotton
  • Rope Thickness 1.5-2mm

A filter paper layer is extremely useful for filtering particles which may be harmful if inhaled, such as microbes. This layer is appropriate for higher risk environments where harmful particulates may be breathed in. There are different grades of filtration: FFP1 = 80% particle filtration, FFF2 = 94% particle filtration and FFP3 = 99% particle filtration.

A valve is a mechanism that is equipped to a medical mask to increase the free flow of air, resulting in easier breathing. The valve also assists in reducing the buildup of heat which can occur when the mask is worn for extended periods of time.

Pro-Secure 24 medical masks are available in 2 types of fastens: earloop, which is simply looped behind the ear, and tie-on, which is tied at the back of the head. As well as this, they come in various sizes, and colors, to suit all needs and preferences. Finally, StaySafe™ face masks are environmentally friendly, and so can be disposed of regularly.

The primary function of medical masks is to prevent the transmission of contaminants such as bacteria between medical professional and patient. The mask acts as a barrier or filter for the mouth and nose.

The medium in which these contaminations reside include droplets shed from the mouth and aerosols.

The mask is designed to catch droplets emitted from the surgeons’ mouth and nose when operating on a patient. They are not designed to protect the wearer of the mask from inhaling pathogens or contaminations that are airborne.

While not its chief intended purpose, the mask also acts as a physical barrier, protecting the wearer from substances which may be present in a surgical environment. Examples include bodily fluids such as blood and chemical agents used during the surgical procedure.

While the intended consumers for medical masks are medical professionals such as doctors and nurses, masks are commonly used by the general public for limiting the amount of pollution particulates inhaled in the air, mainly in densely populated areas where pollution is concentrated.

Medical masks are designed to be disposed after use – this is to prevent the spread of infection or illnesses that may be transmitted by re-using surgical masks. After use, promptly and safely discarding the surgical mask is the necessary course of action.

Surgical Face Mask

  • Material Non Woven
  • Application Clinical, Hospital, Laboratory
  • Color Blue
  • Rope material Cotton
  • Rope Thickness 3.5-4mm
  • Pack Type Box

Medical Face Mask provide the mouth and nose a barrier against contaminants and bacteria found in liquid droplets and aerosols, and general fluids from ones environment and surrounding people. These are used by medical professionals both within and outside the surgery, however such masks are also commonly used by the general public especially in heavily populated areas, and people working within dusty environments. It is important to note that medical masks are disposable, and cannot be reused to protect the user against contaminants.

Pro-Secure 24 medical masks can be found in 3 different thicknesses, 2 ply, 3 ply, and 4 ply, which relate to different levels of protection, with 4 ply having the highest level of protection, due to the middle layer which acts as a filter. They also have a bacterial and particle filtration efficiency of 99%, which makes them a highly effective protective device.

There are numerous layers and features of medical masks, each with different applications and uses.

Polypropylene is the most cost-effective material. It is lightweight and water-resistant. It does not offer a high level of protection, so they should only be worn in low-risk environments.

Multi-Layer has a greater level of protection than polypropylene due to its multiple layered structures. It is also non-allergenic and non-stimulating, which translates to increased comfort. Like polypropylene, multi-layer should be reserved for lower-risk environments.

Carbon layered masks are made from activated carbon, and works by removing fumes and chemicals. Because of this ability, carbon masks are suited to higher risk environments where there is a high probability that harmful substances may be inhaled.

Oxygen Mask

  • Material Plastic
  • Application Clinic, Hospital
  • Application Anesthesia, Oxygen Supply
  • Color Transparent.
  • Feature Adjustable, Comfortable, Easy To Wear, Provide Artificial Respiration
  • Pattern Elastic Headloop

Oxygen Masks are used to transfer medication, including oxygen, and asthma medication to the trachea and lungs of a patient. There are two types of oxygen masks; Oral Nasal Masks which cover the nose and mouth and Full Face Masks which cover the whole face.

Both types should only be used when ordered by a doctor or medical care provider, and can be used within the hospital, clinics or at home when necessary.

The oxygen masks for hospital and clinical usage are usually made of Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) as this material is cheap and disposable. The plastic material allows the oxygen masks to be transparent which limits the sensation of claustrophobia in some patients, and also allows the medical care provider to assess the patient’s face. The oxygen or supply of medication is either connected via tubing or comes in a breathing bag/cup which is attached to the mask itself. The latter allows for deep breathing without wasting oxygen or medication.

Oxygen Masks are used within oxygen therapy when a patient needs a higher concentration of oxygen than is present in the environment naturally. The oxygen masks transfer oxygen gas from a storage tank or breathing bag to the lungs, and can be used for several chronic and acute conditions including chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), cardiac failure, emergency operations, major trauma, hypothermia and convulsions.

An oxygen mask must always be used with the close monitor of a doctor or medical care provider.

Nebulizer Mask

  • Size Standard
  • Material Soft PVC
  • Application Hospital Use
  • Weight 25-50 Gms
  • Color Transparent
  • Hardness 15-30 Shore
  • Feature Disposable, Durability, Easy To Wear

Nebulizer Masks are used to administer liquid medication, including relievers, preventers and oxygen (if patient’s oxygen levels are low), in the form of aerosol droplets for easier administration. This is inhaled through the mask or a mouthpiece that is attached to the oxygen mask. The medication can be administered via a tank or a cup which is attached to the mask itself. A normal dose will take about 5-10 minutes to be inhaled fully.

The oxygen mask can be used in emergency situations, such as when a patient is having trouble breathing and to manage chronic respiratory conditions such as COPD, cystic fibrosis, and bronchiectasis. On occasion the oxygen mask is also used to manage asthma, however this is advised for limited use only, as there are cheaper and faster ways to take the necessary medication.

Use of nebulizers should be under the strict recommendation and observation of a doctor or medical care provider.
