The composting shredder has been developed as supporting equipment to the organic waste composter.The organic mass of large size, which is not suitable for directly feeding into, the composter has been processed in the shredder to reduce the particle size.

the urja garden shredder has been developed with a purpose of shredding the garden waste like dry / wet leaves, small branches of plants, raw vegetables, pieces of fruit waste, small size bones with flesh and fish waste. The design of the organic waste shredder incorporates a conical hopper for continuously feeding the waste material from top. The middle portion of the shredder is the cutter housing. The electric motor fitted at the bottom of the housing bears the cutter assembly directly fitted on the motor shaft. The cutter assembly consists of a set of hardened and ground cutters with an inbuilt scraper for pushing the shredded material to the outlet chute.
