Date palm- Fruit Plants & Tree
Phoenix dactylifera, commonly known as date or date palm, is a flowering plant species in the palm family, Arecaceae, cultivated for its edible sweet fruit. The species is widely cultivated and is naturalized in many tropical and subtropical regions worldwide. The date palm grows about 23 meters tall. These are feather leaf type, have spines growing along the stems and produce edible fruits. Date palm growing requires temperatures above 20 degrees to survive. Although drought tolerant they do best with regular watering and feeding.
Rain Tree with common names Coco tamarind, Acacia preta, French tamarind, Saman, is a wide-canopied tree with a large symmetrical crown with feathery foliage and puffs of pink flowers. The leaves fold in rainy weather and in the evening, hence the name "rain tree" and "five o'clock tree. From March to May and again towards the end of the year the green canopy is dotted all over with pink and white. During the rest of the year, too, there are usually quite a few flowers to be seen. The flowers appear like round, silken tufts. The fruit is a fleshy pod, sweet to the taste and much relished by squirrels, horses and cattle.

Ficus Religiosa or sacred fig is a species of fig native to the India. It is also known as the Bodhi tree, Peepal tree or Ashwattha tree. Peepal is a large, fast growing deciduous tree. It has a heart shaped leaves. It is a medium size tree and has a large crown with the wonderful wide spreading branches. It is one of the longest living trees. Peepal tree is easily propagated through the seeds or through the cuttings. It can grow in any type of soil. It requires full sunlight and proper watering. The Peepal is used extensively in Ayurveda. The Peepal tree has its own symbolic meaning of Enlightenment and peace.
