Exulted VRLA batteries are resistant to spills, leaks and explosions and it is not necessary to add water or clean the terminals. The container is made of polypropylene. Each plate is carefully encased in a highly absorbent, microporous glass created specifically for VRLA batteries.
The chemically inert glass guarantees a lifetime of use. Even in the improbable scenario of a cell puncture, the absorbed electrolyte assures that there is no spilling. Gas evolution is seldom noticeable in float circumstances. As a result of gassing, the cell loses about 0.1% of its total electrolyte during the course of its lifetime.
