It was in 1980, after gaining experience in fabricating grills, windows, that Mr. Rupade decided to venture out on his own and he started his own workshop, FAB-CARE, in Manik-baug area, the first unit in the Manik-baug area. Once equipped orders started pouring in from Kirloskar Oil Engines Ltd. and Kirloskar Cummins Ltd. and then there was no looking back. FAB-CARE then decided to concentrate on slotted angle racks and storage bins of various types, to help in warding off the fierce competition ever increasing in the fabrication business. RECOGNITION In 1985, an articles appeared in 'Swarajya' on small scale industries led to an award from the Government of Maharashtra, where FAB-CARE was adjudged one amongst the best five small scale industrial units in Pune area. It is also featured in a documentary by the Films Divisions of India. FAB-CARE has been nominated for the prestigious 'Udyog Excellence Award' and 'Vijaya Shree Award' for the year 1996. "National Industrial Excellence Award" "National Industrial Excellence Award Presented to Rupade Anil Gopal in 2007 by All India Achievers Fundation (New Delhi)".
