Easy Coupling and Decoupling
Both shafts can be easily coupled or decoupled with a single joint pin inserted into or extracted from the roller chains.
Absorption of Large MisalignmentThe clearances between the chains and sprockets and between chain components absorb the great positional misalignment of both shafts.
Body ConstructionThe body consists of two dedicated sprockets with hardened teeth and two strand roller chains. The sprockets are coupled when the chains are wound around the sprockets. And decoupled with the chains removed. Therefore, transmission power can be coupled of separated without moving the transmission system.
Casing Construction Casing For ease of mounting and inspection. The casing can be separated at a right angle to the shaft. The mating part to the hub is finished precisely to hold the hub firmly with no eccentricity. Furthermore. The other hole has a trapezoidal groove into which an oil seal is inserted for the prevention of oil leakage while holding the sprocket boss flexibly so that the flexibility of the coupling will not be lost. The coupling life is notably extended due to the prevention of both lubricant spatter and the infiltration of dust particles when installing the casing. Which ensures effective lubrication. The casing protects the unit from corrosion and ensures safe operation.

The function of a flexible coupling is to transmit torque from one shaft to another shaft the bush type flexible coupling of the cushioned drive type, transmits the torque through high tensile steel bolts to the machine input shaft. Highly developed rubber compounds are used in bushes to absorb shock loads, torsional vibrations and slight misalignments.
Simple and compact in construction, the Flexitech coupling is capable of transmitting high torques at maximum speeds. The flanges are manufactured with cast iron, grade 20. This type of coupling permits drive in direction and requires neither lubrication nor adjustment after fitting. The flexible bushes remain unaffected by water, dust and atmospheric conditions.
Machines which are to be coupled by flexible couplings should first be aligned with all possible accuracy. The capacity of the coupling will then deal with misalignments which occur by reason of temperature variations or heavy shaft loading. Setting of machine foundations or bearing wear will also cause extra loading to be imposed on the coupling. Any or all of these conditions can occur once the machines have been coupled.
Flanges are bored to suit requirements and are keyway to British standard specification, unless otherwise stated. They can also be supplied with the listed minimum bore to permit machining on site.

Resilient Couplings give you a combination of advantages of high power rating of a gear coupling and flexibility of elastomer coupling. They are easy to install and simple to maintain. The flexible grids are quickly replaceable without disturbing the connected equipment. Resilient Couplings are available in broad range of sizes covering from 0.45 kW to 1307 kW per 100 rpm and bores up to 267mm.
CONSTRUCTION: A High torque Resilient Coupling basically comprises a grid spring which connects two hubs – one on the driving and the other on the driven shafts – through axially cut grooves around the peripheries of the two hubs. The spring, which is of special design compatible to the required characteristics of the system, forms a series of resilient bridges along the grooves. The grooves are flared to allow the grid members long flexible spans under normal loads as well as better support by the sides of the grooves under over load conditions.
The stiffness of the spring and thus the coupling depends on the length of each flexible span not in the contact with the grooves. Subsequently, the contact length changes with every variation in torque, resulting in change in the stiffness of the coupling at every instant during a vibration cycle. Consequently this produces a powerful detuning action resulting in continuous alteration of the torsional vibration frequency and prevention of a buildup of resonance in the system.
The principle of design adopted in Resilient Coupling, makes it capable to accommodate considerable axial, parallel and angular misalignment between a driving machine and a driven machine. Simultaneously, it can absorb considerable overloads due to high torque with consequent reduction in wear and tear on plants and machinery. With the use of resilient couplings, break-down and down time in any manufacturing unit, will be minimum.

The Jaw Type couplings from Flexitech are offered in the industry’s largest variety of stock bore/keyway combinations. These couplings require no lubrication and provide highly reliable service for light, medium, and heavy duty electrical motor and internal combustion power transmission applications. Applications include power transmission to industrial equipment such as pumps, gear boxes, compressors, blowers, mixers, and conveyors. Jaw Type couplings are available in 24 sizes from a minimum torque rating of 3.5 in–lbs to a maximum torque rating of 170, 004 in–lbs and a bore range of .125 inches to 7 inches.
The Flexitech Jaw Type coupling is available in a variety of metal hub and insert materials. Hubs are offered in sintered metal, aluminum, bronze, steel, stainless steel, and ductile iron.

The series is a standard coupling with two hubs, a nylon sleeve, and retaining rings depending on the model selected. The coupling has a precision molded nylon sleeve and powder metal hub with no bolts, pins, flanges, or protrusions that could have an effect on balance or operational safety. Since no lubrication is used, the couplings can readily be adapted to many applications including vertical and blind installations. The nylon gear coupling and Mite coupling consists of two sintered iron flex hubs, one Nylon sleeve.

Easy Coupling and Decoupling
Both shafts can be easily coupled or decoupled with a single joint pin inserted into or extracted from the roller chains.
Absorption of Large MisalignmentThe clearances between the chains and sprockets and between chain components absorb the great positional misalignment of both shafts.
Body ConstructionThe body consists of two dedicated sprockets with hardened teeth and two strand roller chains. The sprockets are coupled when the chains are wound around the sprockets. And decoupled with the chains removed. Therefore, transmission power can be coupled of separated without moving the transmission system.
Casing Construction Casing For ease of mounting and inspection. The casing can be separated at a right angle to the shaft. The mating part to the hub is finished precisely to hold the hub firmly with no eccentricity. Furthermore. The other hole has a trapezoidal groove into which an oil seal is inserted for the prevention of oil leakage while holding the sprocket boss flexibly so that the flexibility of the coupling will not be lost. The coupling life is notably extended due to the prevention of both lubricant spatter and the infiltration of dust particles when installing the casing. Which ensures effective lubrication. The casing protects the unit from corrosion and ensures safe operation.

Resilient Couplings give you a combination of advantages of high power rating of a gear coupling and flexibility of elastomer coupling. They are easy to install and simple to maintain. The flexible grids are quickly replaceable without disturbing the connected equipment. Resilient Couplings are available in broad range of sizes covering from 0.45 kW to 1307 kW per 100 rpm and bores up to 267mm.
CONSTRUCTION: A High torque Resilient Coupling basically comprises a grid spring which connects two hubs – one on the driving and the other on the driven shafts – through axially cut grooves around the peripheries of the two hubs. The spring, which is of special design compatible to the required characteristics of the system, forms a series of resilient bridges along the grooves. The grooves are flared to allow the grid members long flexible spans under normal loads as well as better support by the sides of the grooves under over load conditions.
The stiffness of the spring and thus the coupling depends on the length of each flexible span not in the contact with the grooves. Subsequently, the contact length changes with every variation in torque, resulting in change in the stiffness of the coupling at every instant during a vibration cycle. Consequently this produces a powerful detuning action resulting in continuous alteration of the torsional vibration frequency and prevention of a buildup of resonance in the system.
The principle of design adopted in Resilient Coupling, makes it capable to accommodate considerable axial, parallel and angular misalignment between a driving machine and a driven machine. Simultaneously, it can absorb considerable overloads due to high torque with consequent reduction in wear and tear on plants and machinery. With the use of resilient couplings, break-down and down time in any manufacturing unit, will be minimum.

The function of a flexible coupling is to transmit torque from one shaft to another shaft the bush type flexible coupling of the cushioned drive type, transmits the torque through high tensile steel bolts to the machine input shaft. Highly developed rubber compounds are used in bushes to absorb shock loads, torsional vibrations and slight misalignments.
Simple and compact in construction, the Flexitech coupling is capable of transmitting high torques at maximum speeds. The flanges are manufactured with cast iron, grade 20. This type of coupling permits drive in direction and requires neither lubrication nor adjustment after fitting. The flexible bushes remain unaffected by water, dust and atmospheric conditions.
Machines which are to be coupled by flexible couplings should first be aligned with all possible accuracy. The capacity of the coupling will then deal with misalignments which occur by reason of temperature variations or heavy shaft loading. Setting of machine foundations or bearing wear will also cause extra loading to be imposed on the coupling. Any or all of these conditions can occur once the machines have been coupled.
Flanges are bored to suit requirements and are keyway to British standard specification, unless otherwise stated. They can also be supplied with the listed minimum bore to permit machining on site.
