PTFE wire is a popular type of hook up wire because it has a high temperature insulation. PTFE wire can reach 200 degrees Celsius before melting which means it can be used in applications where PVC hook up wire isn't able to be used. PTFE also has silver plated copper strands to help with the high temperature.
