Parquet wood flooring is composed of short strips or blocks of wood forming a pattern, sometimes with inlays of other woods or other materials used for decorative effect. Parquet patterns are entirely geometrical and angularsquares, triangles, lozenges. The most popular parquet flooring pattern is herringbone.

Deck Wood nowadays are being made from a composite material that is a mixture of wood fiber, plastic, and some type of binding agent. These ingredients are put together to form a material that is denser, stronger, and heavier than wood, forming a wood-plastic composite.
