A crane rail pad is essential in reducing shock and vibration in a rail system. The crane rail pad incorporates a bonded steel strip which is encapsulated in the synthetic elastomer. Steel reinforced crane rail pad is for heavy duty crane applications. The reinforcement acts as a diaphragm and gives the pad lateral stiffness, preventing it from deflecting under the side thrust of the rail, regardless of wheel load and loss of friction from oil or grease.
| Features |
- Load distribution over a larger surface
- Elimination of load concentrations and the resultant fatigue stresses
- Centering of loads on the supporting element
- Absorption of uneven contact surfaces between rail and support
- Reduces noise and structure-borne vibration
- Sealing between the bottom of the rail and the top of the support
- Reduces rail wear and fatigue stresses
- Reduces crane runway maintenance
- Reduces stress in the runway structure and the crane
- Prevention of fretting corrosion between the rail and the supporting nominal steelwork.
- Protects the crane mechanism and increases wheel, bearing and axle life
- is manufactured with stress and wear resistant synthetic elastomer;
- fully incorporates a special steel plate which makes the pad transversally rigid, consequently, even in the most extreme operating conditions, the pad does not misplace laterally
