Our Products
GKAF hoisto cranes make electrically overhead traveling cranes are designed & manufactured in accordance with IS: 3177 and IS :4137. The structural parts of the cranes are designed in as per with IS: 807 and IS: 800. Our cranes are manufactured with standard components and controls to ensure reliability.
Double girder crane designs can use the same rolled steel sections within the limits imposed by available sizes. For higher capacities and longer spans, box girders are the usual choice. The hoist is part of a crab which usually runs on rails on the top of the bridge beams so that, when lifted up to its maximum height, the hook is between the beams, keeping the headroom required to a minimum.
The next option is the under-slung crane, which runs on the bottom flanges of rolled steel beams which form the crane tracks. These are usually indoor cranes and the crane tracks are suspended from the building structure. They have the advantage of being able to cover part of the building span without obstructing the floor below. Latest in this type are light weight crane systems wherein hollow sections are used as track sections inside which the travel trolley wheels move. These track sections can be used for the long travel tracks and also for the crane bridge.
The under-slung arrangement allows the bridge of this type of crane to be designed with a cantilever at one or both ends.
Jib Cranesare built consistently with hoisting & traversing units manufactured as per Indian standards. Mast is fabricated from pipe / rolled steel section, while the Jib Arm is fabricated from I-Beam or Mild steel plates. Thrust and ball bearings provided for smooth swivel as well as to take care of vertical and horizontal load as well as radial thrust.
Swivel operation provided both in manual operated through hand chain or electrically through motor & gearbox mechanism. The base is drilled to take foundation bolts.
These cranes are available in 180 / 270 / 360 deg boom swivel angles.
Hoisting unit may be manual chain pulley blocks operated through hand chain from floor or electric chain hoists or electric wire rope hoists. Traversing unit may be either geared travelling trolley (manual) or electric trolley.
Suitable for the Hazardous area classifications Zone1, Zone2, Gas Group IIA, IIB, IIC
The drive consists offlame proofmotor, brakes, switches and push buttons. All electrical fittings areflame proofsuitable for group I, IIA and IIB gases.Flame prooflimit switches for extreme ends in horizontal and vertical movement.Flame prooflocal control panel and main incoming isolator with contactor, thermal over-load relays & MCBs.
GKAF hoisto cranes brand Electrically OperatedOverhead Travelling Cranesare designed & manufactured in accordance with IS: 3177 and IS: 4137. The structural parts of thecranesare designed in as per with IS: 807 and IS: 800. Ourcranesare manufactured with standard components and controls to ensure reliability.
The single girder design, in general preferred up to 15T capacity and span of 20M, is made from either rolled steel I-beam with C-Channel capping section on top for lateral stiffness or box section fabricated from plate. The rolled steel section girders, even though widely used, are ultimately limited by the availability of beam size and length. The distance from the hook at the top most position to the top of the gantry is often greater than indouble girderdesigns, although low headroom hoists can minimize this limitation.
H.O.TCraneis a Hand Operated overhead traveling crane.Overheadtravelingcranesare both single girder and double girder and have a capacity ranging from 500 kg to 50, 000 kg capacity.
GKAF hoisto cranes prides itself on customizing equipment exclusively as per client requirements. Customization is achieved by a mix of standard components and specially designed components.
GKAF hoisto cranes also offers custom-engineered hoisting solutions for various industries.
Agoliath(gantry)craneis similar to a top running crane except that the crane bridge is supported by legs and the rails are at ground level. The additional leg structure makes the crane more expensive, this is offset by the considerably cheaper low level rails. That advantage increases with increased track length making them particularly suitable for large outdoor stockyards. There is an additional safety hazard arising from travelling on low level rails which must be considered, but this can usually be taken care of easily and ground level rails can be advantageous compared to the obstruction caused by the building structure columns. They can be of single or double girder design with similar construction methods. Furthermore they can be designed with a cantilever at one or both ends.
A semi-goliath(semi-gantry) crane is a hybrid of a goliath and a top runningcranewith one end of the bridge supported by a high level gantry and the other by a leg running on a low level track. Typically they are used in an area adjoining a building and the high level gantry is integral with the building structure. They are therefore suitable for outdoor stockyards alongside a building but also for indoor use where a full span of the building is not required.
Outdoor dutygoliath cranesare checked for stability under storm condition. Special storm anchors are provided to prevent toppling of crane under storm condition.
