Ship Overpass Gate ( Top Hung Type Radial Gate) is customized to suit operations of a navigation lock. When in closed or raised position, the gate stores water on its upstream side, while in open or lowered position,

Automatically opens when upstream water level exceeds deigned F.R.L thus ensuring safety of Anicut. Automatically closes when Upstream water level falls to nearly half height of gates above sill level. Can be manually opened or closed by means of a Portable Hydraulic jack whenever so desired.

Opens and closes automatically by responding to changes in water levels on us side of dams & barrages. Does not need any electrical power connection. Eliminates need for round the clock monitoring of the lake water level during monsoons.

The profile of gate leaf closely follows the profile of streamline of flow above and below the gate in fully open position. This results in higher coefficient of discharge as compared to flat gate leaf of outflow regulating gate.

The automatic radial gate is specifically developed for use on spillways of dams, weirs and barrages. Its shell type leaf provides the necessary opening moment for its operation, when us water level reaches frl.

Very useful for salinity ingress prevention on barrage near sea coasts as it acts as a non return valve preventing entry of the sea water into the river but automatically allows flood water during monsoon to pass safely to sea. Can be opened or closed by means of fixed or portable Hydraulic jacks whenever so desired. Height of gate supporting piers required is equal to height of gates.
