We are a leading Indian company which ventured into post harvest management of fresh fruits and vegetables in the year 2009 by creating one of the first and the most sophisticated controlled atmosphere cold storage facility near Chandigarh. The brainchild of a young entreprenuer with expertise and vision for making an impact, the company took the path of natural integration of developing not just its own facility but the industry as a whole. After successful commissioning of its first integrated storage facility in 2011, we realized that controlled atmosphere cold storagein India were working on a very conservate approach and wanted to tread the beaten track by dealing with just apples and not even a single entity in the country was willing to even test any other commodity. Discussions with the biggest retailers in the country came to a nought and this is when we started doing experimentation and research on different products. In our endeavour to bring world class infrastructure to the grower directly, we have taken the lead in providing world class facilities to the grower directly which can ensure that their produce reaches from their farms to the plates in the safest and the freshest possible manner. Godwin has taken the initiative of setting up of Controlled Atmosphere (CA) Storage facility near Chandigarh since it can cater to the farmers of both Himachal Pradesh and J&K and ensure their product is always closer to the point of sale enabling them to take advantage of the market demand and conditions at the appropriate time. Godwin has an integrated cold chain capacity of 5500 MT with its own fully automatic grading line and refrigerated vehicles for safe transport of the produce. It is the largest facility in the country which is open for farmers for direct storage so that they can take advantage of the post harest infrastructure being created in the country. Godwin's technology is the best in the country and can compete with any CA store worlwide. It is the only facility in the country which gives the option of ethylene removal which ensures that no product goes waste due to over ripening and it also allows storage of different products which are ethylene sensitive like kiwis, pears, etc.
