Counterweight primarily made from Cast Iron or Ductile Iron, it is used to counterbalance a load. A single Counterweight can range from 1 kg to 55 tons.
A counterweight is typically used to counterbalance a load, thus helps control the ascending and descending acceleration force and substantially reducing the amount of power & energy needed for the process operation. Apart from application areas where the counterweight is visible from outside, the surface finish required is very marginal.
Out of 4 foundries, Crescent has a dedicated 1 facility to take up only counterweight productions on a large scale and has added suitable painting options like Epoxy and PU paints to give the final product a superior finish.
Material: Grey Iron (GG20 / GG25) and Ductile Iron (GGG 50).
Sizes: 1Kg to 7000 Kg single piece .
Painting: Black Bitumen, Red Primer, water based paint and other paint as per the RAL No. provided by customers.
Other Features: Customized Machining and packaging available.
