Red Onions or purple onoins are look like purplish red skin and white flesh tinged with red. These are available in medium to large size and have mild to sweet flavour. These are often consumed raw, grilled, added in salads or cooked with other foods. High water content is the main characteristics due to which it is used in various forms of food. Red onions are available throughout the year.
