Mode of Action: Primarily stomach action with translaminar movement (penetrates leaf tissues). It disrupts the insect's nervous system, causing paralysis and eventual death within 2-4 days of ingestion.
Target Pests: Effective against a range of Lepidopteran larvae, including bollworms, fruit borers, shoot borers, pod borers, diamond back moths, thrips, and mites.
Compatibility: Generally compatible with most other insecticides and suitable for Integrated Pest Management (IPM) programs when used as directed.
Environmental Profile: Considered relatively safe for beneficial insects and natural predators when applied correctly, but highly toxic to aquatic life (fish and crustaceans).
Recommended Crop Uses and Dosage
The specific dosages are based on Central Insecticides Board (CIB) recommendations in India and typically involve foliar spray application.
