GT offers Surface Plates in 2 variants, one is Cast Iron Surface Plates and other is Granite Surface Plates.

Cast Iron Surface Plates are used in general inspection in the shop floor, whereas Granite Surface Plates are suitable for Metrology Applications.

Specifications :
C.I. Surface Plates :These are Made of close Grained Cast Iron with adherance to necessary Hardness. They are well ribbed to minimize distortion and the depth and cross section of the ribbing are as perIS:2285:1974/ DIN Standards. They are Stress Relieved, Machined and Handscraped Accurately And are inspected with highly sensitive precision instruments.

As per Indian Standard, GT offers C.I. Surface Plates in 3Grades, These are: Grade I, Grade II and Grade III.

In case the of Grade I Accuracy, The Surface Plates are Very Carefully Handscraped. In the case of Grade II and Grade III Plates are accurately finish machined.

GT offers Rexine Top Protection Covers along with the Surface Plates to protect the plates from Dust Particles.

Surface Plates upto size : 1000 x 1000 are provided with M.S.Handles. Larger Plates are without Handles, but provided with Core Holes.

Mild Steel Fabricated Stands or C.I. Supporting Stands : Would be supplied along with GT Surface Plates at an Extra Cost.

T SLOTS : T Slots, Grit Lines For Location and Tapped Holes Can be Provided at an extra cost.
