Construction
  • Life - Raft Cell is consists of ABS molded container & lithium battery with manual operated switch.
  • The Light unit is attached with battery.
  • On pulling out the switch knob, the light glows. When switch rod is inserted to cell, light goes off.
Operation
  • To activate the cell, remove the switch knob from cell and light will glow.
Approval
  • The Life Buoy light is approved by MMD Mumbai, Govt. of India.

  • The Sea Water Activated Cell generates 1.5 V. It for Life Raft Cell & can be discharged at 160 mA current for12 hours.
  • The overall dimension is 93 x 26 x 12 mm and maximum weight 40 grams with Light unit.
Construction
  • Life Raft Cell is consists of a molded ABS polymer container with two activation holes and containing silver chloride and magnesium plates as Anode and Magnesium as Cathode.
  • The Sea Cell is working at wide range of temperature and humidity the water act as electrolyte.
Operation
  • To activate the Cell, sealing plug must be removed by pulling the cord.
  • On immersion in water, activation will take place within 30 seconds.
  • Once the cell has been unsealed and immersed in water it must be considered as discharged.
Approval
  • The Life Raft Cell is approved by Indian Navy
