With a spectacular increase in production in the last two years, India is the worlds largest producer of organic cotton and has an annual production of over 75, 000 tons, undoubtedly encouraged by the increased use of organic fibre in everything from personal care items (sanitary products, make-up removal pads, cotton puffs and ear swabs), to home furnishings (towels, bathrobes, sheets, blankets, bedding), childrens products (toys, diapers), all kinds of apparel (including work wear, sportswear and other uses), and even stationery and note cards.
