This extremely old variety makes a vigorous plant that bears enormous numbers of bright yellow, bite-sized fruit. The flavor is deliciously tangy. Perfect for summer party hors d'oeuvres.
As there are dozens of cherry tomato varieties available, the size and colors will vary, but generally cherry tomatoes are globe-shaped and weigh about a half ounce to one ounce each. The perfect cherry tomato will be firm, thin and smooth-skinned and it will have excellent flavor and juiciness, balancing acid and sweetness perfectly.
Cherry tomatoes may be found year-round, but are best in the summer.
