Uses / Indications

MEF-SPAS is used for the treatment of pain associated with abdominal cramps and spasms, such as:

  • Menstrual pain (dysmenorrhea)

  • Abdominal colic (intestinal/stomach cramps)

  • Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) spasms

  • Post-surgical abdominal pain

  • Other spasmodic and inflammatory pain conditions

How It Works

  • Mefenamic Acid: A non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that reduces pain, inflammation, and fever.

  • Dicyclomine Hydrochloride: An antispasmodic that relaxes smooth muscles of the gastrointestinal tract, reducing cramps and spasms.

Together, they provide dual reliefpain reduction + muscle relaxation.

Dosage (General Guidance – must be doctor prescribed)

  • Typically: 1 tablet 2–3 times a day after meals.

  • Dose depends on severity and patient’s condition.

  • Not recommended for children unless prescribed by a doctor.

Side Effects

Common:

  • Nausea, vomiting

  • Drowsiness, dizziness

  • Dry mouth, constipation

  • Stomach upset

Serious (rare):
