Special method of preparation :
Sariva and manjistha are taken in the prescribed quanity, powdered and then, ground to a fine paste. This is mixed with the prescribed quantity of water. Taila is added and allowed to boil in a vessel sufficiently large to prevet the overflowing when foam is formed. When the requied paka is reached, the oil is filtered in a vessel containing the powdered sarja rasa and the shavings of madhucchista (beeswax). It is then briskly stirred to enable sarja rasa and madhucchista to dissolve intimately with the oil as to as form a homogenous liquid.
