The machine consists of a cylinder, the inner side walls of which are coated with an abrasive coating. At the bottom of the cylinder, there is a plate which is also coated with abrasive (corundum). The plate is rotated, due to this fact, the tubers are thrown up and fly inside the machine, striking against the walls of the cylinder. Due to collision with the abrasive layer the skin is peeled from the tubers.
