Ama Cord Relay

Characteristics :-ama cord relay is a non electric surface delay initiating device, it provides delay between the holes & the rows in detonating cord. The delay is provided by cutting the detonating cord & attaching the cord relay to the cutting ends. Specification :-cord relay consists of two delay devices housed in a white plastic component. Two holes are provided at either ends for threading the detonating cord.for identification delay nos. Are mentioned on the component-cord relay 17 ms cord relay 25 ms cord relay 50 ms cord relay 67 ms cord relay 100 msapplication :- cord relays can be used for providing various delay initiation pattern such as row delay, diagonal pattern, v pattern, etc. Where controlled blasting is required, cord relays can be used in such a manner that only one hole blasts at a time thus keeping maximum charge per delay. Helps to reduce booster column ratio resulting in economy in blasting operation. Its high density increases its sinking ability in slushy bore holes. It provides a high degree of safety from impact and friction. It produces minimum noxious fumes on blasting. General :Audio Visual Alarms are manufactured as per requirements of D.G.M.S circular No. 7 of 1977 which stipulates that an audio visual warning device should be provided on the rear side of HEMM of tippers to warn the persons that the vehicle is being reversed and that the sound of the device should be different that conventional horns.Design :In order to comply with the requirements of the circular, the design comprises of an electronic device which produces sound of variable pitch and a visual device which generates flashes at 60 to 80 per minute. Exploder tester is a very useful instrument for checking whether the exploder is in working order or not. Normally blaster has a habit of short circuiting the terminal to check whether the exploder is in working or not. conswigear exploder : conswigear dynamo condensor exploder type dxc 12/200 is an improved version of the earlier time-proven and widely used model type dxa. 12/200, fully type tested for performance capacity and safety at the central mining research station, dhanbad.the exploder is designed for use in non-gassy mines, quarries, road and dam construction sites etc. for blasting operation.the exploder has a capacity of firing up to 200 numbers of detonators, with idl or iel (or any other equivalent) electrical fuse heads, connected in series.the exploder is housed in a rigid and strong molded bakelite case. the output terminals are provided on one side and the detachable operating handle on the other. the firing push button and neon indicating lamps showing the charged of the exploder are provided on the top.the entry hole for the operating handle is provided with a spring loaded shutter, which keeps the hole covered to prevent entry of dust and foreign objects, when the exploder is not in use and also actuates the discharge contact mounted inside the housing.the exploder is charged by rotating the operating handle. the dynamo charges the main capacitor through a voltage doubler circuit formed by a step-up transformer, an auxiliary capacitor and diodes. the capacitor remains charged even after the rotation of the handle is stopped and the neon lamp starts flashing to show that the exploder is in a charged condition, ready to fire.the exploder is discharged when the detonators are fired or when the operating handle is withdrawn and the spring-loaded shutter returns automatically to its closed position, this is a safety measure to ensure that the exploder does not remain charged when the operating handle is taken away. it also facilitates safe and certain discharging of the exploder when it is charged it is desired to de-energize the exploder without going through to blasting operation.the exploder is also discharged if the firing push button is pressed, even though no external wires may be connected to the terminals.a foam-leather case is supplied with the exploder for carrying around for protection against damage.

Continuity tester is a simple instrument and easy to operate. Continuity tester is suitable for checking continuity of any electrical circuit.construction:-the casing is made of unbreakable plastic. In principle it consist of a neon indicator activated by two penlight cell which normally last for many hundred testing. instructions :-(1) connect both ends of the circuit at the firing point to the contact socket (terminal).(2) press button to make test, if the circuit is complete the neon will glow, if not there is a break in the circuit.(3) the shot firing cable is tested by connecting the two wire of one cable end to the continuity tester.if the two wires on the other end are free, the neon will not glow. If it glows, this indicates a shot circuit some where in the cable.if on the other hand, the neon does not glow when the two wires at the free end of the cable are connected to each other, then there is a break in the cable.

Mec Coal - 5

Characteristics :- mec coal-5 is an ultra safe aluminised cap sensitive permitted explosive. It has a low detonation temperature and is insensitive to friction and heat. The low generation of noxious fumes in comparision with nitro-glyceine is much less, as such giving relief to operating personnel. Mec coal-5 is water resistant and offer better drill hole filling and blasting results. Mecprime Cord

Characteristics :- mecprime cord is a detonating fuse containing uniform core load of petn, that assures positive initiation of cap sensitive explosives along the entire length of the fuse. Mecprime cord is relatively insensitive to detonation by friction, shock or electric discharge and requires a proper initiation for detonation.operating aids:-since mecprime cord contains a core of high explosives, it should be appropriately handled and stored. Detonating fuse and detonators should not be transported & stored together.
