The water tube boilers ( where water to steam flow is within tubes and combustion of fuel is out side, in a furnace), are top supported units, suspended from a self supporting steel structure , arranged to provide total freedom of expansion for all parts of the boiler in down ward direction. All the parts meet the design codes, quality standards, material testing procedure and hydraulic test code laid by Indian Boiler Regulation , ASME standards or code of practices of respective country.

IRC is carrying out Chemical Cleaning services by the name of its sister concern company RA CHEMTECH PVT. LTD. Till date we have carried out cleaning for units upto 660 MW capacity . We have carried out cleaning of boilers using Citric Acid, HCL and EDTA as major chemicals. In case of Condensers we have used majorly Sulphamic acid as a cleaning agent, and have got Repeat Orders from clients like NTPC, RVUNL etc. We have carried out Acid Pickling and cleaning of Pipings.

SMPV rule 18 :- Fixture of safety valves (SRV) in storage vessels for LPG, Profane ammonia etc and certification there of. The SRV are fitted on storage vessels or mounted on vehicles.

Our supporting team responsible for conducting Non- Destructive Testing for Residual Life Assessment are specialists having ASNT NDT Level II and ASNT NDT Level-III certification.

In case of Conventional Methods of Inspection we are unable to carry out welding at a nearby location at the same time when we are carrying out Radiography Test but by Means of Techniques such as Phased Array we are able to carry out Welding and Inspection Round the clock.
In case of Conventional Methods NDT Vendor is using consumables for every joint but in case of the newer techniques the amount of usage of consumables is reduced to once in around 800th joint, which in long term reduces the cost of services.
The need to used Scaffolding is reduced due to techniques such as LRUT. Hence the cost of Scaffolding or making of Underground pits is reduced.

Insulation Resistance and Polarization IndexThe insulation resistance is the quotient of applied voltage across the insulation divided by total resultant current at a given time.Insulation Resistance and Polarization Index of stator winding are measured using a 5 Kv Tera ohm Megger with a constant output of 5000 V DC. IR & PI measurements are taken between each phase and earth while the other two phases are shorted & grounded.
