The RANIERO brand was created following the construction of the first forklift truck in 1967 by Baron brothers Aldo and Luigi. Technological development immediately experienced a major push forward, as in the 1970s they created frontal forklift trucks with a capacity of 35 tons and a range of rough-terrain forklifts with 2 and 4 wheel drive variants. In 1981 Aldo Baron founded LAMPOCAR Srl, which acquired the rights of the RANIERO brand and continued to build forklift trucks. In 1982 the production of thermal trucks ranging from 1.5 to 36 tons was completed with the creation of the prototype of electric-powered trucks of the RE series (Raniero Electronic), which over a short period of time included versions up to 3.5 tons. In 1989 the NRE series was created and this completed the range of Raniero Electronic forklift trucks ranging from 1.5 to 6 tons. At the end of the Nineties it began to build a new production site that led to the relocation of its headquarters in January 2001. The new sales and manufacturing site was concentrated in an area of about 6000 sq m, 3000 sq m of which are covered. The year 2002, as a mark of the constant technological innovation, led to the creation of the prototype of a forklift truck with "AC" technology. Initially developed with a single-motor drive, it was changed in 2004 and turned into a dual-motor machine and resulted in an extension of the range of up to 6 tons. At the same time the diesel range was redesigned and fitted with hydrostatic transmissions instead of traditional hydrodynamic transmissions.
