Stained, Etched & Laminated Glass #3754358

Ceramic Printed Glass

Ceramic Printed Glass is infact tempered safety glass to which a special high temperature resistance paint is applied immediately Prior to the tempering process. During tempering this paint becomes permanently fused onto the surface of the glass. This colour layer is resistant to mechanical damage and ageing, a feature, Which makes cleaning and maintenance easier. Furthermore, its increased resistance to pressure, impact and temperature fluctuations make it a distinguished tempered glass.

Bend Toughened Glass

Glass is bent during the heat treatment process to a predetermined radius or arc- depth to create unique profiles for installations in commercial and residential applications. The curved toughened glass is made by fast cooling with air blowing after formation.

Laminated Glass

Laminated glass is a sandwich of two or more sheets of glass with a plastic interlayer usually polyvinyl (PVB) interlayer in between. The glass panes can be basic float glass, tempered or heat strengthened.During lamination process chemical bonds are formed between glass and PVB interlayers under temperature and pressure conditions. Mechanical and chemical bonds are formed between PVB and Glass.Hence it is combination of mechanical and chemical bonds that provide PVB laminated its properties.

Adhesion to glass is determined by the formation of hydrogen bonding bridge between the water compatible group of the glass surface and those of the polymer.

Safety

Ordinary glass windows are brittle and break into long sharp pieces, causing serious and sometimes fatal injuries. An important feature of laminated glass is its performance under impact. That is, the interlayers is laminated glass have the capacity to absorb the energy of impact and resist penetration.

Safety hazards caused due to breakages are minimized with the use of laminated glass. Although the glass may break, the glass fragments will adhere to the PVB interlayer, minimizing the risk of injury and property damage.

Security

The rise in urban crime and terrorism has created a need for security & safety. Laminated glass fulfils this need. When multiple or thick interlayers are used, laminated glass can withstand higher laves of impacts. Laminated security glass can replace traditional bars to create a more humane environment.

Ionoplast Laminated Glass (Sentry Glass Dupont)is further more stronger and much Stiffer. Ionoplast interlayer are lighter and can withstand great load and higher threat levels.

Toughened Glass

Toughened Glass is made from normal glass via a thermal tempering process in which the glass is subjected to heat till its Softening point and then rapidly cooled. This gives the glass its strength and safety characteristics from the compressive and tensile Stress built up inside the glass due to snap cooling. When an impact takes places, the missile has to penetrate the compressive layer of the glass to break it. When toughened glass breaks it disintegrates into small pieces which greatly reduces the chances of injuries and if there are any then they are superficial in nature.

Toughened Glass is 4-5 times stronger than annealed glass with higher resistance to thermal stress as edge quality is much better. Toughened Glass can withstand temperature upto 295 Celsius and temperature differentials upto 150 Celsius.

Heat Strengthened Glass

When annealed glass is heated up to a temperature range of 600 Celsius to 650 Celsius, for a specified time and then suddenly air-cooled. It gives strength to the glass. The most important factor of heat-strengthened glass is that it has very less wave distortion as compared to fully toughened glass. The glass breaks into slightly bigger pieces and moves towards edges. It is approximately 2-3 times stronger than annealed glass. The chances of breakage are very little during transportation and handling. With the probability towards Nickel Sulphite (NiS) inclusions, spontaneous breakage becomes practically non-existent.

Insulated Glass

Insulated Glass Unit (also known as Double Glazed Unit) is described as two or more lites of glass spaced apart and hermetically sealed to form a double / triple glazed unit with an air space between each lite. The most important function of IGU is to improve the thermal performance (reduce the U-value) of glass when used in architectural applications. In addition it also has acoustic benefits.

We guarantee excellent quality and high precision insulated glass using high performance dual seal insulated glass materials to ensure conformance to global Standards.

The air space between the lites is filled with air or inert gas like argon which provides better insulating performance. Typically the aluminium spacer is filled with desicant to prevent condensation and improve insulating performance.
