About Us

Jannat E Khass Pvt Ltd is a next-generation export house headquartered in Jammu, India. We specialize in premium food and lifestyle products that reflect the purity of nature and the cultural richness of the Kashmir Valley.
Our story began in 1942, when Damudhar AftabRam, the great-grandfather of our current Director, established a trading firm under the municipal communities of Anantnag, Kashmir. This legacy continued with the establishment of National Shooks Factory, a sawmill and timber business (registered under the Forest Department, Anantnag), specializing in timber and apple shooks.
In 1982, Mr. Bal Krishan Bhat built on this foundation by launching M/s B.K. Traders, a family-run firm focused on the trade of saffron, dry fruits, and regional goods. Decades later, on 3rd July 2024, his son Mr. Ayush Bhat formally transitioned the business into a private limited company under the name Jannat E Khass Pvt Ltd, marking the beginning of a new era of global expansion.
Today, our flagship brand Jannat E Khass offers world-class saffron, wildflower honey, shilajit, and dry fruits — celebrated for their exceptional quality, purity, and health benefits.
To complement our food portfolio, we launched Jannat E Khass Home — a lifestyle and décor label offering fine textiles, intricately carved woodwork, candles, incense, and other soulful items that blend heritage craftsmanship with a contemporary edge.
Now expanding internationally with the support of a strategic partner Atso Akkanen from Finland, Jannat E Khass is building bridges between India and the world through products that honour tradition, embrace wellness, and reflect a deep respect for culture, nature, and design.

Ayush Bhat
Founder & Managing Director
An alumnus of IIM Jammu — one of India's prestigious Indian Institutes of Management — Ayush combines academic excellence with entrepreneurial instinct. He brings over a decade of experience across diverse sectors, including food trade, digital platforms, hospitality, and media. His background includes high-level work in celebrity engagement, TV production, and strategic HR planning.
Ayush’s vision is shaped by early mentorship under Sri Sri Ravi Shankar and years of working in India’s major metro hubs. His approach blends innovation with cultural depth, allowing Jannat E Khass to grow as a brand that’s both rooted and relevant in the global marketplace.

Bal Krishan Bhat
Co-Founder & Director
A pioneer in the dry fruit and saffron trade since 1972, Mr. Bhat offers over 45 years of business wisdom. His longstanding relationships with producers, artisans, and traders have been instrumental in establishing reliable sourcing channels for the company. He also has experience in political organizing and social development, and has worked closely with key Indian leaders.
His values — integrity, trust, and long-term vision — form the bedrock of the company’s business practices.

Atso Akkanen
International Relationship Manager
Atso brings over 20 years of international experience in food education, hospitality, and consumer research. Holding a Master’s degree in Education and trained as a Home Economics teacher at the University of Helsinki, Finland, he is a skilled project leader and wellness advocate. His expertise lies in fostering cross-cultural partnerships and navigating diverse consumer markets.
Atso is also a certified International Sri Sri Yoga Teacher and an active member of the Art of Living Foundation, which deeply informs his approach to well-being, sustainability, and mindful living.
