Stainless Steel Stud Bolts

Stainless Steel Fasteners range and stock in all sizes of bolts, nuts, washers, hex socket screws, metal thread screws, self-tapping & wood screws and security products in metric, imperial and in all grades. An extensive portfolio that covers all aspects and requirements of the industry, providing quality products that can be used in confidenceThe basic alloy. Type 304 (18-8) is an austenitic steel possessing a minimum of 18% chromium and 8% nickel, combined with a maximum of 0.08% carbon. It is a nonmagnetic steel which cannot be hardened by heat treatment, but instead. must be cold worked to obtain higher tensile strengths. The 18% minimum chromium content provides corrosion and oxidation resistance. The alloy's metallurgical characteristics are established primarily by the nickel content (8% mm.), which also extends resistance to corrosion caused by reducing chemicals. Carbon, a necessity of mixed benefit, is held at a level (0.08% max.) that is satisfactory for most service applications. We manufacture premium quality Bolts from various Stainless Steel Grades with ASTMASMEDIN Standards & Specifications. We also produce non standard Bolts fasteners in Stainless Steel grades like AISI 303, AISI 304L, AISI 304L, AISI 309, AISI 309S, AISI 310, AISI 310S, AISI 316Ti, AISI 317L, AISI 347, AISI 409S, AISI 410, AISI 416, AISI 430, AISI 430F, AISI 446C, AISI 904L, Etc. We manufacture different types of Bolts hot forged cold formed Bolts in almost all shapes & sizes. We also provide passivation, quality coating further processing as per client's requirement.

The distinction between a bolt and a screw is usually unclear and misunderstood. There are several practical differences, but most have some degree of overlap between bolts and screws.

Bolts are often used to make abolted joint. This is a combination of the nut applying an axial clamping force and also the shank of the bolt acting as adowel, pinning the joint against sidewaysshear forces. For this reason, many bolts have a plain unthreaded shank as this makes for a better, stronger dowel. The presence of the unthreaded shank has often been given as characteristic of bolts vs. screws, but this is incidental to its use, rather than defining.

We produce premium quality Bolts from Nickel Alloys , Stainless Steels, Super Alloys, Duplex steels & Super Duplex, Copper & Copper Alloys, with ASTM/ASME/DIN Standards & Specifications. We produce different types of hot forged cold formed bolts in almost all shapes & sizes. We also provide passivation, quality coating further processing as per client's requirement. Our Manufacturing Size ranges from M10 to M100 with varied length.

A metal rod or shaft with threads on both sides is called aStuds. Usually the rod is long, but depending upon the requirement the size can be changed. Given below is an image of a stud.

Stud Boltlength are defined in ASME B16.5 standard. The length in inches is equal to the effective thread length measured parallel to the axis, from the first to the first thread without the chamfers (points). First thread is defined as the intersection of the major diameter of the thread with the base of the point.

Shoulder Bolts

  • Head Height 3/16
Shoulder bolts are used as bearings and spacers. Their applications number many: as shafts for cam rollers and other rotating parts, as pivots and stud bolts, and as bearing pins for swing arms, links and levers. Often combined with bronze sleeve (Oilite) bearings, they are also used as a guide in blanking and forming presses and in punch and die operations.Shoulder bolts have a cylindrical head, a smooth cylindrical shoulder and a short threaded section. A small area between the threads and shoulder is undercut, which allows for a tight fit against the mating surface. They are also known as stripper bolts, axle bolts, shoulder screws, hexagon socket head shoulder screws.
