Advantages of PTFE Cable
In 1821 Thomas Seeback discovered that if a circuit is formed using two dissimilar metal conductors with one junction at a higher temperature than the other then a difference in temperature creates a small current (EMF) within the circuit. The resultant EMF (Electro Motive Force) is proportional to the temperature difference between the junction and is measured in millivolt.
There are several different recognized thermocouple types available. Each type has different temperature ranges as well as different recommended applications. For connecting the thermocouples to the temperature indicators Extension and Compensating cables are used.
Extension Cables are manufactured from conductors having the same nominal composition as well as the same emf output as those of the corresponding thermocouple. Letter X following the designation of the thermocouple, e.g. KX, denotes these cables.
Compensating Cables are manufactured from conductors having different composition from the corresponding thermocouple but have similar emf output over a limited temperature range (generally 200C). Letter C following the designation of the thermocouple, e.g. KC, denotes these cables.
We manufacture RTD, Thermocouple Extension and Compensating cables with the PTFE (Teflon) and Fibre Glass Insulation. We make following constructions commonly with parallel as well as twisted form.
We manufacture the above Insulated cables as per the requirement or specifications of the customer with insulating material PTFE and Fibre Glass.
We manufacture 2 Core, 3 Core, 4 Core and 6 Core RTD cables with above mentioned constructions using best quality Bare Copper, Silver Plated Copper and Nickel Plated Copper Conductors.
We offer PTFE Insulation on following conductor materials. However, customized single or multi-strand conductors may also be used according to application and requirement of customers.
Reasons for using PTFE Insulated wires and cables.PTFE Wires and Cables are made using the best quality material to ensure higher flexibility and long durability. The PTFE Insulated Wires and Cables can endure a large range of temperature starting from (-) 60 C to (+)260 C. These are not inflammable and totally safe to be used. These are made weatherproof using a special technology. Moreover, these save a lot space and very much comfortable to use. Salient Features In a process industry the temperature detector is an integral part of the machine, and is subjected to various shocks vibrations in a rotating machine. It may be subjected to direct compression forces as in case of slot RTDs. We manufacture our RTDs Accordingly; All the Materials used are as per particular process requirements. The reproducibility is a very important factor. We ensure proper reproducibility in long run of use.For some requirements, IR values are very important; we ensure proper sealing for good IR values. Where high voltage surges are likely the RTDS are tested for enhanced high voltage values. For some applications thermal response time is an important factor we test and declare the value for each type.
For RTDs which are to be embedded in the rotating machines the long run reliability is ensured by a vibration and compression proof design.
For bearing metal temperature measurements, air, gas or flue gases requirements and for pipeline measurements sealed units Assembled with or without thermowells are available.Some of the RTDs are provided with interchangeable measuring inserts especially in thermowell type measuring systems.
Protective tubesThe elements (Sometimes measuring inserts) are protected in metal sheaths, it is constantly subjected to hazardous conditions and material of protective tubes is decided as per DIN43763 and DIN 437230. Normally for temperatures up to 600'C SS304, SS316 and SS321 sheathe are used. Thermowells are made of SS321 or chromium molybdenum wieldable alloy steels.
Connection headsThese are light metal alloy weather proof to IP. 67 (IS2147) category heads with hinged lids. The heads are provided with one or more cable entry glands as per customer choice. The connection Terminal Block is of pure Alumina with plated brass terminals.
Terminals ensures very good grip of inside and outside leads.
Thermal ResponseEven slight difference in wall thickness or material will cause substantial increase in Thermal Response Time and values are reported accordingly.
LeadsThe RTDs with Integral leads such as slot RTDs are provided with silver plated copper conductor having PTFE insulation. Some designs are provided with braids of SPc or SS and again provided with PTFE jacket, other leads available are of silicon and ETFE for nuclear radiation resistance. All the leads are tested for enhanced HV, IR and pull test values. The specs conform to BHEL Customer requirements.
Each RTD/TC is provided with with following Routine test.
Each lot is tested for followings additional tests.
Type test for RTDs as per BS 1904:84, IS 2848:86 are conducte regularly (IS 7358 for TCs)
hdpe/pp reagent diagnostic bottles in 04ml, 08ml, 15ml, 30ml, 60ml & 125ml in natural, amber and in milky white

OperationThe system comprises two heat exchangers. the hydrogen shell and lube type called precooler in which temperature of hydrogen reduces around 25C to 30C the cooled hydrogen now enters the second heat exchanger named evaporator further cooling up to 0C to 3C is accomplished in this H. the set dew point is adjustable. the cooling coil inside the evaporator have propelled through a refrigeration system due to low temperature in evaporator the moisture in the H2 condenses and converts in water from the water is collected in a well protected condensate collector and can be drained out when desired leaving the evaporator H2 again travels to pre cooler where it has dual functions of cooling the input H2 and outgoing leaving dry H2 is again rises to a safe tem H2 of around 25C to 40C before entering the generator to reduce stress on the system
