COIR is a versatile natural fibre extracted from the fibrous mesocarp of coconuts. The fibrous layer of the fruit is separated from the hard shell by the process called “Defibering” or “Dehusking". These fibers are cleaned to separate long and short fiber, which are then packed into bales accordingly. The Wonders of Coir The coir fiber is the thickest and most resistant of all commercial natural fiber. Low decomposition rate is the key advantage for making durable products. Coir fiber absorb water to a much lower extent as compared to most other natural fiber due to their much lower composition of cellulose content. Coir fiber is waterproof and the only natural fiber resistant to damage by seawater, which is beneficial for making fishing nets. Coir can withstand exposure to all kinds of weather, making it a practical fibre for outdoor use. COCO PEAT Coco peat is a sustainable alternative to soil for soilless farming. Coco peat is a multipurpose growing media obtained from coconut husk. It has its own characteristics that are beneficial for soil conditioning and healthy root growth. Its air filled porosity and high water holding capacity makes it comparatively better growing medium for the plant crops. It is 100% organic and eco-friendly, free from soil borne pathogen. It has great properties which makes it ideal for plant growth. High porosity of the coco peat allows good drainage and aeration resulting quick vegetative propagation when planted with saplings.
