KANKOOL is designed as a high-build insulation coating that acts as a barrier to heat transfer while also providing waterproofing and microbial resistance. Its hollow micro sphere technology forms an air-space-like insulation layer within the dry film, helping deflect heat, reduce interior temperature and support lower cooling costs when applied as per system guidance. For old terraces such as brick-bat-coba or screeds, check substrate soundness and repair damaged, hollow portions and sharp edges with polymer-modified screed; fill cracks with KANFILL. Metal surfaces should be cleaned to remove paint and rust, then degreased and primed with a suitable anti-corrosive primer; priming is not required for new GI sheets. Allow new cement-sand renderings and concrete surfaces to age 6-8 weeks before preparation. Prime with KANPRIME diluted in the ratio of 2 parts primer to 1 part water. Apply KANKOOL in 2-3 coats without dilution by brush or roller at 6-8 hour intervals and allow the coated surface to air cure fully for 7 days
